SEC Endurance Class P3 & HKAA 1 Hour Challenge P2!

Rollercoaster weekend in difficult weather condition! SEC 5 Hours Class 3rd with the race red flagged twice due to rain storm and our challenge in Hkaa Hkaa Hkaa 1 Hour Challenge taking overall 2nd finish! Great job to the team for pushing all the way to the end!

Grid Motorsport GT86, in the HKAA 1 Hour Challenge Round 3, our new driver Francis Lam took his first race partnering Hyemin Moon. the first stint saw Hyemin cracking consistent laps, while changing weather condition in the middle of the race made Francis who jumped into the car just after the half hour mark. Francis did a great job in holding his position with matching lap times with the 3rd running Honda, at the end we finished overall and class P2.

In SEC 5 hour endurance, our Honda DC5 was running with strong pace in Class P1 and Overall P5-6 in the first two stints by Andrew Wong and Shing. Thunder storm cause the first red flag (first!), as we regrouped in the pits the rain stopped in 30mins, preparing for stint 3 was Murphy while he kept a competitive stint, at the end of the hour saw him getting caught out by oil leak around T3-4, seeing him trapped in the gravel.

The team carry on the fight while Tom Chak made a great stint to catch up to Class P3, with our aggressive pit strategy we were aiming for P2 or maybe even the race win. The final stint saw another Reg Flag dur to thunder storm, while the race was completed more then 75%, the race was declared finish. We took the podium on Class P3, and we will be back stronger next race !
